We never knew how big our new yard was until we spent almost a week in the fall pruning and taking out bushes and trees to grow back next year. In genesis it talks about how noxious weeds would grow, can I add nasty spiders also?? We did enjoy the beautiful colors of the leaves and those beautiful fall days we got to spend outside.
For thanksgiving my sister came to visit. It was fun to do some shopping and to also play a little and to relax a lot. Caleb had so much fun seeing his aunt Jen.
I got to spend some time with my friend Sarah and her boys during some weekends thanks to both of our husbands working/researching. Her youngest Zach and Kenna seem to get into mischief, here they got into the laundry room. He's 5 months younger, but is about the same size and walked at 8 months, so they walked at the same time, crazy!!
The day after Thanksgiving we went to a u cut farm, Furrow Farms, out in Helvetia area in Hillsboro. It was a great place to get our trees this year. It was SO cold, it was during our ice/snow storm so it wasn't above 20 that day, hence McKenna's get up.
This is our little tree
and this was our bigger tree. Caleb and Kenna would lay on the ground next to it and look up at the tree with it's lights on and all the lights off in the room, it made the family room glow.
